Note: Before uploading oil test results for a transformer, the transformer/asset needs to be created.
Note: The template csv file to upload oil test results is attached at the bottom of this article.
The oil test results can be added/uploaded manually or via CSV file. This can be done in two ways.
- To upload via offline DGA tab, select the asset, go to offline DGA tab.
- Alternatively, in the dashboard select the table section and press the add oil test button.
Upload via CSV File
Adding large numbers of oil tests manually for multiple transformers can be a long process. Uploading a CSV file containing your oil test data for all transformers may be a better option.
In order for your data to be correctly imported into the system your CSV file must contain the following headers:
- transformer (name of the asset)
- test_date (in the format yyyy-mm-dd)
- oil_temp (decimal value in degrees celsius)
The following headers are used for the Dissolved Gas Analysis. All are decimal values in parts per million, ppm:
- h2
- o2
- n2
- co
- co2
- ch4
- c2h6
- c2h4
- c2h2
- two_fal_furans (decimal value in ppm)
- moisture (decimal value in ppm)
- di_electric (decimal value in kV)
- acidity (decimal value in mg KOH/g)
- interfacial tension (decimal value in mN/M)
- ddf (mWatt/var)
- Resistivity (G Ohms)
Any other headers will be ignored. The filename of the uploaded csv can be your choice. An example csv file is attached to this article.
Note if the values in the offline test results are written as ''<1'', it generally means that the gases concentration is undetectable. This could be recorded as "0" in the .CSV file.
To bulk upload via .CSV file, upload the CSV file by pressing the choose file button as shown below.
After choosing the file, you should see the file name next to the button. Press the upload button. The screen will show the tabular view of uploaded oil test result. If there are any errors, the box will be highlighted red. If there are any warnings the box will be highlighted orange. Hover over the highlighted box will provide details about the warning/errors. In the picture below two assets have the same name, click the red highlighted box to select the right asset.
Once all the errors and warnings have been cleared and reviewed you can press the confirm changes button at the bottom to upload oil test results.
If you wish to cancel, press the cancel button at the bottom or press the blue re-upload oil test button to upload a different .csv file. If the file is uploaded successfully, results will be seen in the Offline DGA tab on the transformer detail page.
Manual Upload
The oil test results can also be uploaded manually by pressing the add new oil test button at the top right. This option is useful if you want to add only a couple of oil test results.
Pressing add new oil test button will create a line. Add all the information from the oil test report. Pressing the button again will create more lines.
Once all the errors and warnings have been cleared and reviewed you can press the confirm changes button at the bottom to upload oil test results. If the oil test result is added successfully, results will be seen in the Offline DGA tab on the transformer detail page.
